Fused Glass Wild Flower Candle Holder

Description

This lovely wild flower candle holder is the result of 3 firings in the kiln. First, the daisies were created from powdered glass and moulded into shape and fired to 740 degrees Celsius. The strands of grass were shaped by hand using strings of glass and a candle. Then a 15cm base of clear gass was cut, sprinkled with glass powder and hand crushed glass frit. The grass and flowers were then arranged and returned to the kiln for 10 hours of firing and 5 hours of cooling. Once cooled, the flat piece was returned to the kiln and draped over a vase mould to create this handkerchief folded vase which is perfect to hold the larger tea light candles. It measures approximately 10.5 cm square and 8.5cm high. Postage is included within the UK.
